Composite Resin Fillings
Also known as tooth coloured fillings, they are popular and are preferred by most patients and dentists. Composite resin fillings are natural in appearance, they come in a variety of shades for a perfect color match and they bond directly to the teeth, helping to restore your tooth’s natural appearance.
Orthodontics
Orthodontics is a specialty of dentistry that involves the study and treatment of malocclusions (improper bites) caused by teeth size and/or jaw discrepancies. Orthodontic treatment straightens your teeth resulting in a more balanced functioning of your jaw and an improvement of facial esthetics.
Crowns
A crown, often called a cap, is an artificial covering for the visible part of your tooth. Generally made of porcelain and metal, they are strong, long lasting and absolutely stunning in their recreation of your natural teeth. Crowns are usually recommended if a tooth is fractured, decayed, has a large restoration, or has been root canal treated, all of which make the tooth vulnerable to breaking.
Bridges
Dental bridges literally ‘bridge the gap’ created by one or more missing teeth. A bridge is made up of two crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap, and a false tooth that is suspended in the space between the crowns. This is permanently cemented and cannot be removed.
Veneers
Veneers are thin layers of porcelain which are bonded onto the front surface of your teeth (usually anterior teeth). This procedure is used to cosmetically alter teeth that are discoloured, misaligned or chipped. Veneers will benefit patients who want to close spaces, to re-align crooked teeth, to increase length and/or width of your teeth, and will have the added affect of increasing whiteness. Veneers are stronger than bonding and have a longer life span.
Dentures
Dentures are removable appliances made to replace missing teeth and are supported by the surrounding hard and soft tissues of your mouth. Dentures come in a variety of designs, they can be bonded into place, clipped onto the other teeth already in your mouth or attached to dental implants. They can either be partial dentures, where they attach to other teeth or they can be full dentures giving you an entire new set of teeth.
Dental Implants
When a tooth is removed it is difficult to replace its appearance and function. Dental Implants are a genuine looking solution and they are today’s best alternative to your natural teeth. Functionally, dental implants feel and act like real teeth. They help maintain bone and support facial tissues. Titanium screws are set into the jaw to act as roots of a real tooth, and a healing cap is placed on top until healing is complete. The healing cap is then replaced by a permanent crown creating a new tooth.
Endodontics
Also known as “root canal” treatment, is an effective way to save a tooth that might otherwise need to be extracted. The most common reason for a root canal is if a tooth has a deep cavity or fracture that causes bacteria to reach the pulp or nerve of the tooth and infect it. When the nerves of a tooth die, they are removed and the canals are cleaned out and enlarged. A special filling is placed in the canals and the tooth is sealed off. Usually after a root canal, the tooth will become brittle and vulnerable to fracturing. The ideal treatment plan to protect and add strength is a crown placement.

Digital X-RAY
Digital radiography is the latest technology used to take dental x-rays. The images can be instantly viewed and enlarged, helping the dentist and dental hygienist detect problems easier. Digital x-rays reduce radiation 80-90% compared to the already low exposure of traditional dental x-rays.

Invisalign
Invisalign takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your dentist plans out for you. You’ll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.
